ReceiptMate helps people protect purchases after checkout. That means receipts, purchase details, and claim notes can be sensitive. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. Who we are
ReceiptMate (“ReceiptMate”, “we”, “us”) provides receipt storage, warranty and return tracking, recall monitoring, and consumer claim preparation tools.
2. What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and basic profile information used for login.
- Receipt and purchase details. Store, purchase date, total, item names, prices, serial numbers, receipt images, and notes you add.
- Claim information. Problem summaries, desired outcomes, authorisation records, retailer responses, and recovered amounts.
- Technical data. Device, browser, security, and abuse-prevention data needed to operate the service.
3. How we use information
- To store receipts and show return, warranty, recall, and claim opportunities.
- To prepare claim messages that you review and approve.
- To track outcomes and calculate any agreed success fee.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal receipt data.
4. Authorisation and claims
ReceiptMate should only contact a retailer after you explicitly authorise a claim action. You are responsible for checking that claim details are accurate before approving them.
5. Service providers
We use trusted providers for hosting, database, storage, authentication, email delivery, and security. These providers process information only as needed to run ReceiptMate.
6. Data retention
We keep account, receipt, and claim information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account data, subject to legal and operational requirements.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. To make a request, contact us.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the date above when we do.
